People come up with all sorts of answers to this question, but in fact, the social psychology world already has a fairly simple answer to this question. This answer also happens to actually explain why Zeta sold so well through the usually superficial television retail channel.

Perhaps a metaphor is appropriate:

I don't know how to write Ruby on Rails. By being proficient with PHP/MySQL, I've pretty much proven it's not because I'm too stupid, I could learn it, it's just that I haven't expressed an interest in knowing it or haven't gotten around to it.
