Slackware, Debian, Redhat Suse and Mandrake have contributed to linux community, by reshaping how linux system works. They can be called operating system.
What is Ubuntus (or knoppix, DSL PCLOS etc etc) contribution to linux community? none compared to slack or RH or debian. has Ubuntu ever developed a single software?? NO. have they any special programs for HW detection? NO. it is just better configured linux distro.... thats it.
