PDAs, Cellphones, Wireless The OpenSSH server has been ported to Windows CE, enabling secure remote access to a Windows CE device using the SSH protocol. The software is currently released at version 0.0.1, under a BSD-style license, and is available in binary and source form.

Who actually wants to SSH into their phone? Maybe as a non-smartphone owner I'm missing the point, but I'd have thought most people tended to have their phone about their person if they were likely to need it...

I don't think the primary application will be for phones, because as you pointed out, it's a bit useless. Windows CE is Microsoft's all purpose embedded OS, that just happens to be used as a base for Windows Mobile. It'll probablly be usefull on devices that do not have a user accessible user interface.
