Okay, you're right about the default Firefox string it seems, but you still didn't know what you were talking about for Konqueror. I visited the site with Konq (my usual browser) and it registered as IE on Windows 2000. When I casually glanced at the Firefox user agent value in about:config, I thought it was an accurate representation of the string sent to the web server (like it is in the Konqueror config dialog). I was wrong on that specific account, it seems.
So I'll admit I spoke too soon as far as the default for Firefox on Ubuntu is concerned, but only if you admit you had no idea what you were talking about when you posted the Konqueror link, or the useless nature of counting individual hits for web statistics without somehow trying to figure out which ones come from the same PC. As you haven't provided counter-arguments for these points, I'll take it you have abandoned trying to defend these points.
In other words, my argument still stands.
FYI, I have better things to do than lie on web sites. Unlike you, I don't have a hidden agenda to discredit anything or anyone. That's why I have a good trust rating, and you don't.

BTW, I also checked my Firefox user agent string (the default one for Firefox 2.0, which I didn't alter) and it doesn't mention Linux. It does say Ubuntu/Edgy, but nowhere does the word "Linux" appear, so unless that site's statistics tool has a filter that tags "Ubuntu" as "Linux" (which I doubt), then I won't be counted as Linux when I visit it.

Wikipedia suggests otherwise.
"Firefox 2.0 on Ubuntu Linux — Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20060601 Firefox/2.0 (Ubuntu-edgy)"
Maybe you are confusing the string sent to web servers versus the user agent you can set.
You should read up on it.

As for now, I'll just assume you are ignorant or lying.
