>I used Media Player Classic with ffdshow. Works fine.
It does not work for me. I have ffdshow and WMP11 and it doesn't work here. However, ffdshow is not as standard as Real and as QuickTime is for 3GP on people's computers (or even as popular as VLC is lately). And the LG video just doesn't work on any of these apps, while ALL the other phones I have reviewed the last 2 years work just fine. Apple has made sure that 3GP and MPEG4 works well on QuickTime, so I am inclined to believe based on these facts that the bug is LG's. Maybe ffdshow go around LG's bugs in order to be able to be compatible with them.

ALL the Symbian S60 3.0 devices are here, take your pick:

and here is the Symbian UIQ 3.0 devices:

Hmm, maybe its because of Quicktime/Real alternative? But if Quicktime alternative works, so should the real version of Quciktime.
Other than a matroska splitter and an Xvid codec I don't think I have any 3rd party codecs installed. This is kind of wierd.
The comparison chart is quite useful, thanks for that.

The video 3gp video clip works for me:
I used Media Player Classic with ffdshow. Works fine.
The phone itself seems kind of sucks, the design seems nice, but the features are kind of disappointing. Style over subustance, IMHO.
Anyone know of Symbian OS based smartphone with a good looking design? Think of Nokia E series but with a slicker design. Being in the $300 - $400 range would also help.
