"The FSF today launched a campaign with a twofold mission of exposing the harms inflicted on computer users by the new Microsoft Windows Vista and promoting free software alternatives that respect users' security and privacy rights. "Vista is an upsell masquerading as an upgrade. It is an overall regression when you look at the most important aspect of owning and using a computer: your control over what it does. Obviously MS Windows is already proprietary and very restrictive, and well worth rejecting. But the new 'features' in Vista are a Trojan Horse to smuggle in even more restrictions. We'll be focusing attention on detailing how they work, how to resist them, and why people should care", said FSF program administrator John Sullivan."

Linux NEVER violated anyones IP. Thats a lie. Perens knows it.
Novell knew it. And thats why Novell signed a cross-licensing agreement with Microsoft.
Thats why Intel and AMD have cross-licensing agreements.
Cross-licensing agreements are incompatible with the spirit of the GPL. Not to mention that covenants not to sue and other such pseudo-legal rubbish (or even real, legal instruments, come to that) can't be limited to Novell with regards to GPL software they distribute.
At least my "shit-stirring" is based on honesty.

The FOSS fanatics pretty much tried to ignore what Perens said and kept claiming Linux NEVER violated anyones IP. Thats a lie. Perens knows it.
Novell knew it. And thats why Novell signed a cross-licensing agreement with Microsoft.
Thats why Intel and AMD have cross-licensing agreements. They both have patents that could derail each others business.
Microsoft has licensed technology from IBM to make the XBOX 360.
Of course IBM is off the hook because they've bribed the FOSS community with a few million lines of code.
Novell is now the junior DEVIL.
