Fedora Core Linux.com has a review of the Fedora Core 6 live CD: "The current live CD is very usable. Its package selection makes it an ideal starting point for a new Linux user. It doesn't have OpenOffice.org and uses the freed up space intelligently to include SCIM and translations that'll allow it to reach more users."

I wonder how the "build your own" featue will be used. Distributions like Blag and Berry seem like great targets for this feature.

The Free Software Foundation will rejoice! (Blag being on their list.) ;)

Also, I wonder if individuals could use this feature to download their perfection version of FC instead of the DVD or five CD's.

I'd still miss the option of installing to hard drive, though.
But there is good news: the next Fedora will 'ship' as "Fedora Gnome" (a.k.a. Fedora Desktop but that makes no sense since KDE is also a desktop), "Fedora KDE", and "Fedora Server". So the amount of CD-burned MBs needed for your favorite installation will be drastically reduced.

I'd still miss the option of installing to hard drive, though.

That option is currently on alpha stage. Feel free to test it and report bugs.
