Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu The next alpha release of Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (Herd 2) is out. The Kubuntu announcement is here. "The Feisty Fawn Herd 2 is the second alpha release of Ubuntu 7.04, and with this new alpha release comes a whole host of excellent new features. mounting/encrypted partitions

Gnome-mount sounds like a good addition, especially if it handles encrypted partitions well--I hope they add pam_mount integration, allowing auto opening of an encrypted partition on login.

What would also be nice is an option to create an encrypted home partition on installation (or even after!) using ds-crypt, with Ubuntu making all the necessary changes to pam_mount.
