If only it would run on real hardware - at least modern hardware. I'm hoping it starts getting a little more stable.

What are you talking about man? Before this version I did run it on real hardware and as soon as we figure out this ATA(PI) driver bug I will again! Most Syllable developers use their native hardware and not some virtual machine!

It runs on modern hardware. I have it running on my Athlon 64 X2 4200+ desktop with a Radeon X1600. The SMP mode isn't compatible with my machine and I'm stuck using the VESA video driver until someone updates the open source Radeon driver to support the X16K, but it works.

It doesn't work on all machines and SATA is still a problem on some motherboards, but it will definately run on modern hardware.

If Syllable doesn't work on your hardware, please raise a bug or attach your details to the relevant existing bug. That's the only way these sorts of bugs will get solved.
