Erwann Chenede has produced packages of Compiz 0.5.0 for OpenSolaris x86. In fact, to ease the process he has even written an OpenSolaris install script for Compiz. Yeah, it's not like Solaris has been used for years on high end UltraSPARC workstations for graphical and CPU intensive operations such as medical imaging, oil exploration, CAD and EDA...
