AfterStep 2.2.5 has been released. The AfterStep team released the following changelog: "Everything got touched. It's all good." You can get the latest release from the download page; if you have 2.1.0 or later already installed you can use a smaller upgrade package.

Interesting and looks good...except that kind of shadow text on the titlebars...anyway to turn that off?

Yes, you can turn that off. Everything is customizable in AS, there are several ways to display text on the titlebars, including plain fonts without effects.

All the visual stuff in AS can be set by editing the look files. There are several looks included with AS.
