Maybe, but Linux is FREE and Vista is crippled unless you pay extra for the "premium" and "ultimate" versions.

Point is ... if all you're doing is competing on price, then you've already lost. Given Dell's volume discounting, Windows isn't really all that expensive.

Linux competes with Vista on price, quality, and freedom, Linux obviously wins all of them.

Linux competes with Vista on price, quality, and freedom, Linux obviously wins all of them.

Linux has a long way to go to match the quality of the Win2K3 Server codebase -- which Vista is built on top of.
