Vista = unwarranted optimism
Vista = deception
Vista = complete failure on completion date, feature set, feasibility.
In my opinion it's Vaporware even tho it was released, what other choice did they have? to wait another five years to really, really fix it?

complete failure on completion date
The only official release date EVER set by Microsoft was the one they indeed did ship it on. The other dates were NOT official; based on rumours, or individual employees making remarks on it.
feature set
Apart from WinFS and Monad, there's little I can think of that was scrapped.
Um yes, but it was released.. so... it's not.. vaporware.
Plenty of other software has been released with reduced functionality and it's not tagged as "vaporware".
You're very much free to be disappointed with Vista, but tagging it as vaporware is entirely wrong, no matter how you spin it.

"its a vaporware relase through and through."
Uh no, it may be a dissapointment but it is not vaporware. Vaporware is overhyped software that has not yet been released.
