PDAs, Cellphones, Wireless Hi-Mobile sent us over the Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman feature phone for a review, and we give it a whirl. It's been over a year since the last time we tested the non-smartphone Sony Ericsson platform and it's interesting to see the advancements in the software department.

I've a T637 that I've been beating up for over 2 and a half years now.

I expected this phone to last me a year.

It's taken a licking and kept on ticking. Sure, there are things I don't like about it, but I've been unable to find another phone at a price point I'm willing to spend that justifies giving this one the boot.

The worst part is, that Cingular has mostly stopped carrying the good SE phones, and since I'm a bigot when it comes to phones being responsive and not over-blown, I refuse to buy the total Pieces Of Crap that a company that starts with M and ends with otorolla produces. I find Samsungs to be chinsey, and LG's are almost as offensive as Motorolla's piles of shit.

I just want a good, solid, $100 phone that has a non-crippled bluetooth stack. So I can pair it with a laptop. If it plays music, great, but it's certainly not a requirement.
