PDAs, Cellphones, Wireless "A few months ago, the GNOME Mobile Platform was announced to the public. One of the main forces behind the launch of this initiative was Nokia, which uses a lot of GNOME-components in its Linux-based Internet Tablets Nokia 770 and N800. During this years GUADEC Andreas Proschofsky had the chance to sit down with Carlos Guerreiro, Nokias Manager for Open Source Software, to talk - amidst other things - about the not so different needs of personal computers and mobile devices, about the necessity for GTK+ 3.0 and the impact of the iPhone launch."

I don't expect you to believe me

I most certainly believe you. You make a valid point, and your own personal experience is hardly anecdotal. Although your GTK+ experiences are dated, this is exactly what I was asking for. Thank you. But as you can see, there are people who disagree with you:

Of course someone disagrees. We're a huge community... In the thread you refer to, he mentions GTKmm as a GOOD example of C++ API/bindings. Now I ask you, did you EVER find ANYONE say ANYTHING positive about GTKmm? If so, you must have read a lot of comments on that topic, this is MY first... Everyone who had dealings with GTKmm I talked to complained about how horrible it is, and how clean and neath Qt is. But yeah, someone disagrees, so it must be a great API?
