dude... every thing you said in this comment is BS!!!!!
"Apple strike a lucrative deal to force people into Starbucks. If there's two coffee shops next to each other, and you have an iPod touch, then at least once, you're going to go to Starbucks because of the WiFi."
BS... how the hell is apple forcing you in to starbucks! are you aware that is there is a star bucks next to another coffee shop... that OTHER coffe shop will have FREE wiFi...and better coffee!
"The iPod touch treads a thin line between the features of it and the iPhone. Why is there no [native] Google Maps on the iPod touch? Simple it would detract from the value of the iPhone. This only enforces my belief that there won't ever be a [sufficient] SDK. Apple can't allow third party developers to patch up the holes that they're purposefully leaving in the product."
BS.... hey mr Tech analyst! don't quit your day job! Apple Still is a company that must stay in business to continue to produce cool devices. that have to add value where there feel will give the best return! at this point, the new iPod and iPhone are virgin technologies developed with a VISION! allowing limited 3rd party involvement is SMART! why add the dead weight of crap ass 3rd part devs to the mix! and have to drag them along! ultimate they will smother innovation in such a focused marked like the hand held sector! you want open... develop for linux and be happy. you want every day useful..... watch where apple takes this iPod thing!!!!
"piling on restrictions and crippleware"
>>>> you have SOOO missed the point!
