General Development As a system administrator, you run across numerous challenges and problems. Managing users, disk space, processes, devices, and backups can cause many system administrators to lose their hair, good humor, or sanity. Many old skool sys admins use perl. I've used ruby for years to tie together both *nix & Windows systems (in addition to using wscript/jscript). It's not surprising that python is well suited to sys admin tasks as well.
