Gnome Ars has reviewed GNOME 2.20. "GNOME 2.20 was officially released last week after six months of development. The new version includes strong incremental improvements that contribute to a better user experience and provide more flexibility and integration opportunities for third-party software developers."

Why can't they just embed the view from Nautilus in there...


It's a matter of not having GTK+ depend on Nautilus. The GTK+ filechooser needs to function regardless of whether Nautilus is installed or not.

Well, that makes sense. Though, wouldn't it be possible to extract the view code from Nautilus and get it in GTK, instead of this duplication?
