Those are rather huge, and I think the burden of proof here rests with you. Can you really not point to an instance of it yourself?

So I see wesolows saying the same thing that you say, also without providing any proof. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be anything there.
As I said, I don't think I should have to search through OpenSolaris's bug database just to prove your point for you, since I don't really buy it to begin with.
Show me an instance of a patch that exists, that fixes a bonehead mistake, that wasn't rejected for a good reason by the GCC folks.
