Nice try. But wouldn't those be more like Windows "distros"? Variations upon the themes of existing products? What *major new release* was ever even *remotely close* to being delivered on the original schedule?

Well, technically, Windows Vista was perfectly on time. It was released on the only official release date ever set - not a day later.
