PDAs, Cellphones, Wireless Hi-Mobile.net sent us in an unlocked iPhone for testing. We used the iPhone for almost a month now and it's time to write an editorial-type article on the... unlockiness of it all.

Having a WiFi has absolutely nothing to do with 3G. EDGE is adequate? good luck making video calls with it. and just because it's one of a few devices with a built in hardwired battery doesn't make it right.

Video calls? The iPhone doesn't support that nor do pretty much any cell phone (in the US at least). Having WiFi does have to do with 3G. If I have WiFi around, I'm going to use it even over 3G - it's always going to be faster. EDGE is adequate for the features that the iPhone has, as well as the available WiFi - which like I said in my case is what is being used most of the time. And yes, before my iPhone I had Sprint w/ EV-DO and surprisingly don't really miss it too much.

Again... I don't have an issue with the battery being internal. To each their own. It's perfectly fine to me.
