I can understand your enthusiasm for this project, and I really hope that it turns out well, but I have to say that it sounds to me like throwing "magic fairy dust" at a huge raft of social problems and hoping that they'll get better. I'm a believer in positive thinking, but not to the point of self-delusion.

Rather than simply strive for "a change", you might want to try applying for change that will actually be meaningful; ergo, well-thought-out, productive, and fiscally-responsible. I don't knee-jerk to causes which don't make sense.
