I can't believe that over 100 posts in, there is still whining/arguing about a Gnome menu editor.
Give me a break!
First, you add and delete items on your menus right now, by opening the menu and right clicking on it and chosing the menu item.
Second, there are menu editors that can be downloaded.
Third, menu editing is not that important!
People who are whining about it seriously need to get a life. Seriously. If you are spending so much time b!tching about having a Gnome menu editor, you seriously need to evaluate how you spend your time. Move out of your parents basement. Get a job. Get a girlfriend. Do something.
BTW - the Gnome Devs are doing fine work. Gnome is not perfect, nor is KDE. Both are excellent DE's, with their own strengths and weeknesses.
