OSNews, Generic OSes Every now and then, I find OSNews a tad bit too serious. We get carried away over quite a few things - insignificant things mostly, in the grand scheme of things. For a while now, I've been trying to find a way to relieve the tension on OSNews, and I think I may have found a way how. The only problem is - you need to like it too. Read on.

How about posting less flame-bait from some blog somewhere just so the local cheerleaders can rehash the same tired old argument again ?

If you ask me, these somics belong on your blog. I would be happy to read them there. It's not what I'm looking for on OSNews. IMHO and all that.

I'm sick of reading this. It's his site, his rules. Thom has said (more than once) that OSNews is a techblog. Get over it.

OSNews predates the "blogosphere". It also predates Thom (as editor.)

Can't really agree. After all, it's OS-related, and I won't take the time to check Thom's blog as often as I check OSNews.

[...]and I won't take the time to check Thom's blog as often as I check OSNews.

I think that was the genius of the idea! ;P
