Multimedia, AV Since there is absolutely nothing going on in the tech world today (really, we checked the internet), we figured some off-topic lightness might be a good idea for this Saturday night (it's night already in The Netherlands). The question we pose to you today has absolutely nothing to do with operating systems, computers, or technology: what albums are you most looking forward to in the coming one, two years? I blogged about my five most-awaited albums for 2008/2009, and this is my list (all albums are yet to be named): Fiona Apple's 4th album (I kind of really like Fiona Apple), the 7th studio album by The Cardigans, Garbage's successor to "Bleed Like Me", A Camp's coming second album, and Garbage front-woman Shirley Manson's first solo album. Post your favourites in the comments!

AIC and Blind Mellon? Ok, AIC, maybe with a new lead singer and all....but I'm pretty sure Blind Mellon is all but forgotten. Not that they were a bad band, but they had 2 hits and then that dude off'ed himself. I'd say you'll hear from GNR before you hear from them.

If Rage can get check their personal bull*@#$ at the door, and pretend to actually like each other for a few months, maybe we can get a decent album out of them. That putrid crap, Audioslave, notwithstanding.

Blind Melon, forgotten? I would not be so sure, since their record company keeps releasing live and remixed material every few years or so, because of how well it sells. They had more than two hits, and most of their best known songs are from their third album which was finished after the singer OD.

AIC and Blind Melon (New songs are here: http://www.myspace.com/blindmelon ) are both working on new albums with a new lead singer.

Since Rage keeps doing more gigs together (just look at the large list at their website), one can only hope that they will start working on new music.
