Window Managers "dwm is a dynamic window manager for X. It manages windows in tiled and floating layouts. Either layout can be applied dynamically, optimizing the environment for the application in use and the task performed. It is the little brother of wmii." And version 4.9 has been released.

Dwm sucks less.

Dwm 4.9 is just as perfect as version 4.7 was, but with more features. It is now easier to set up dual screen with the DEFGEOM values. I can't imagine ever going back to pure floating environments now.

Don't be afraid of recompiling source it takes to seconds and config.h is really easy to understand.

Actually the source is so transparent that hacking it and making room for a dzen2 bar or something similar is straightforward, even for non-programmer like me.

A highly recommended piece of software

Is it possible to turn off the damn bar like in 4.7? I hate the idea of branching.

Yeah, and why is display of stdin part of a window manager? WM != info bar. I hate the idea of branching.

But it sucks less, indeed.
