i think the test results were reasonably fair. Taking a fairly unmodified out of the box Ubuntu install is reasonable. I think if he compiled any of the applications or the kernel it would have been cheating seeing that those who are not so tech-savvy would not even consider any extra configuration. I think tests like these are useful to show that much need to be done on the default settings of distros to make sure they run well for the most popular applications. Good test and I look forward to seeing the results of other distros. Thx
