Honestly, I see the benefit of dynamic languages being less lines of code. That being said, I can see where you are coming from, and mostly agree with you.

As a C# dev, with each release of the language we seem to get a new feature from dynamic or functional languages (lambdas, implicit typing, extension methods). Maybe dynamic languages will not take over in the form they are now, but more traditional strongly typed languages will get more dynamic.
