I honestly do not think that QC will come to be any time soon, leave alone applications that would run on it... And just out of curiosity - how fast do you want your word processor or e-mail client to be? Because these are the applications that current home PC users use the most...

Yes, and 640K ought to be enough for anybody.

We just don't know what the future (it says in the article in 20 years) word processor or e-mail client will do.

Hopefully at the least it lets you write a letter.
I don't want to have to wade through three levels of photo realistic graphics just to get to the in-game typewriter so that I can write a letter and print it.

That's exactly what i thought as well.
People are so quick to say that something is not going to happen. But the truth is, we just dont know.

I personay find it interesting news to hear that they are making progress. And what it exactly will mean for the future, we'll just have to see.
