Linux Klik is a system which creates self-contained packages of programmes installable over the web with a single click. In this article Kurt Pfeifle discusses the potential uses of this technology for helping the non-coding contributors to KDE. EASY!

Gnome gives you a tab-completing run dialog when you press ctrl+f2, even if you don't see something in the menu, it'll work.

(KDE also offers such a run dialog, too bad Mac and Windows are far behind such a simple advancement)

Using menus to launch apps is so yesterday. ;) It's good for browsing what's available, but that's about it.
