Right direction?

I'm glad to see that the FreeBSD foundations is making efforts to gather a larger userbase. A community surrounding a project usually produces positive results. This has potential to server as a central location for requesting assistance which would double as a help repository.

I just hope that FreeBSD continues to be a rock-solid OS. Popularity is rarely a positive thing.

I'm not sure I agree with that. As popularity grows, so do bug report counts and the pool of competent people willing to code for the project.
