And the point goes way over your head.
1) Good luck finding a keyless space in the iPhone keyboard. You'll have to move all the way up to the content area. And more importantly,
So? Admit you were wrong. The iPhone virtual keyboard behaves exactly as the others have described and your description is wrong.
Again so? you can rest all you want. It doesn't matter if you have to cancel the action with a gesture.
Is all this really so hard to understand?
Can I hold a key down on a physical keyboard to rest my finger without producing multiple letters?
Each has something one can do the others can't.
This whole virtual physical keyboard thing is a rubbish discussion. 13.7 million people that have bought iPhones have no problems with it.
Two people I know have moved from blackberrys have no issues with the iPhone keyboard.
Most people adapt, some don't. Personally I don't like physical keyboards after using the iPhone keyboard. Tried blackberrys and G1 and am slower on a physical keyboard.
To people that like physical keyboards there are many devices with them. I wonder why cupcake is getting a virtual keyboard if the physical one on the G1 is sufficient.
