Windows As if per clockwork, the release candidate builds for Windows 7 (both 32bit and 64bit) have been leaked onto the web. "The highly anticipated release candidate build of Windows 7 has been leaked and its authenticity is entirely undisputed. First looks reveal nothing significantly new or different, but if you've been wanting to get a vibe of how far Windows 7 has come since the public beta, especially performance, this is the build to get."

Now it's just three service packs away from being remotely usable! Okay, that's a little unfair... You can conceivably sleep on a bed of nails and call it "usable". How about saying "three service packs away from not causing aneurysms"?

With all that and yet Windows is still going to be ahead of the pack. How awesome is that! ;)

It's as awesome as winning a gold medal in a marathon after slashing your opponents' Achilles tendons and downing a whole pharmacy of steroids!

Its as awesome as winning a gold medal in a marathon where the other opponents are in wheelchairs (but will learn to walk in the next release).

Seriously though, Win7 -- if the pre-releases are anything to go by -- will need little in the way of SPs. Its shaping up to be a fine product.
