Windows SuperFetch is a technology in Windows Vista and onwards that is often misunderstood. I decided to delve into this technology to see what it is all about, and to dispel some of the myths surrounding this feature.

I was using prefetch for some time now but realised that, probably like SuperFetch, i have almost no gain on apps speedup. On the contrary, my system takes more 10-15 seconds to boot up than without the prefetch deamon.

So my suggestion is this: disable the prefetch deamon and restart the system. Then clock your boot time to see the difference.
