Benchmarks Phoronix, known for their various speed tests and reviews, compared the latest in Ubuntu and what, until recently, used to be the lastest in Mac OS X with 29 different benchmarking tests. Some of the results were rather interesting.

For people who want to really do something about graphics on Linux, consider supporting the Open Graphics Project.

And that is why I can't be bothered with Linux on the desktop. For years there have been projects to do things right but they never get finished and then there is a call to arms to do the same task again but a different way.

Linux as a backend no issues and great but for general desktop use - I'm over it.
