Late June 2009 I bought a 13" MacBook Pro (2.26 GHz, 4 GB RAM). I suppose that after just three months, the blinding "first joys" over getting a laptop have worn off. By now, I deem my thoughts about this device to be realistic and of an appropriate level. The past few weeks I attained mastery over the Mac OS through personal discovery, accompanied by a very insightful book; I bought additional software and hacked the Dock to suit my preferences.

I know that we are both just stating opinions. That was my point. I am sick of Apple fans claiming the Macs are infallible, or just "a hell of a lot better." So all I was ever doing was pointing out that other people have had different experiences, and that there are other equally reasonable opinions. You're the one who kindly pointed out to me that my experiences where anecdotal, as tho that was either A) something I didn't already know, or B) something that was not true of your own statements!
Not at all. You're misinterpreting me. I know all my posts are anecdotal. It's pretty hard to get scientific about this kind of stuff, even stuff as drastic as the XBox 360 failures (55% by some accounts, but only 29% by others).
