Windows Can't wait two more days? Microsoft Technet has a free 90 day trial of Windows 7 Enterprise for your evaluation pleasure. If you've been using the Windows 7 RC, this one is likely to have a bunch of bug fixes, as several bugs have been reported in earlier versions of the Windows 7 RTM that were made available to developers, including a pretty serious CHKDSK bug.

I think the chkdsk bug has been well explained and isn't as bad as you make out.

It is, in fact, not a bug at all. The great memory usage is by design. This article should be corrected ASAP.

Indeed. Bug was in Intel(if I remember correct) drivers that caused BSOD during chkdsk. High memory consuming was new design in chkdsk in order to decrease time that it takes. I feel sad that Osnews editors knowledge of technical details is level of Engadget editor.
