1. We were specifically talking about Windows 7. Windows 7 ships with all graphics drivers on the disc. On top of that, a lot of drivers are pulled from WU, and those have undergone testing to ensure that they work.
The Ubuntu team might want to take a few clues from that approach instead of just willy-nilly including drivers that fcuk up.
2. I fail to see what this has to do with the issue at hand. We were talking about included broken drivers - not about whether or not you have to download one.
The problem was present in the betas and RC too. Check Google. It affected me there too.
