Law and Order While the Apple v. Psystar case is currently on hold until the hearing regarding the motions for a summary judgement takes place (November 12) the Psystar v. Apple case (still with me?) is only just beginning. Psystar has amended its original complaint in this second lawsuit, asking the judge to order Apple to cease calling Psystar's business "illegal", claiming it hurts the clone maker financially.

Apple really should have stayed off of x86 if they wanted to avoid this. For the same reason people try to port Linux to every gadget that has a CPU, people will try to get OSX to install somewhere Apple doesn't want it to... simply for the challenge of it.

People were porting OS X to different hardware when it was on PPC. Remember MacOnLinux for PPC Linux?

I had 10.3.9 running on Debian on a PPC Linux box.

Also, do you remember PearPC? Same premise.
