As we all know, Mac OS X has support for what is called 'fat binaries'. These are binaries that can carry code for for instance multiple architectures - in the case of the Mac, PowerPC and x86. Ryan Gordon was working on an implementation of fat binaries for Linux - but due to the conduct of the Linux maintainers, Gordon has halted the effort.

Unfortunately a lower score makes your post "invisible". Well not completely, but you (the reader) needs to take an extra step to see a modded-down post. I've modded up posts that people have modded down simply because (to me) it appeared they were doing so out of some sort of bias.

Don't be bothered by the voting system so much, a higher score won't benefit you at all. At best it tells how many people think the same as you, thus how unoriginal you are.
