It's clearly tongue-in-cheek. We take stuff like this way too seriously.
There's a bug in XP where you can actually make the scroll area hotspot colours invert:
IIRC its done by left clicking one arrow then right click which still pressing the left mouse button down.
Then repeat the process on the reverse arrow.
Now, when you drag the scroll bar, the hotspot inverts
I agree with malxau. As I wrote somewhere before, personally I prefer articles that stay factual, but I can tolerate those that don't.
Tongue-in-cheek is fine, but you shouldn't overdo it. And almost the whole first half of this entry being in Maddox mode clearly is overdone, for my taste. Starting with "Dear diary" would fit this article perfectly.
Please, less of that.
