BeOS & Derivatives Haiku is aiming at a tentative May 10 release for R1 Alpha 2. Ingo Weinhold, one of the recently contracted developers, is the acting release coordinator. Testing of nightly pre-release builds is encouraged.

I know that there's no multiple display support. So it seems you're out of luck. The drivers are framebuffer only as far as I know.

Incorrect on both counts, the radeon and nvidia drivers support multiple monitors, assuming you have one of the chipsets they support, and the drivers will use bit blit acceleration if available, just not the other drawing ops since everything is double buffered.

I stand corrected. Thanks.

Additionally, when I plug a monitor into my Dell laptop or Toshiba 205 netbook the VESA drivers support the external monitor as the display unit.

And for those who have not tried Haiku, VESA is very very fast on it.
