I know that there's no multiple display support. So it seems you're out of luck. The drivers are framebuffer only as far as I know.
Incorrect on both counts, the radeon and nvidia drivers support multiple monitors, assuming you have one of the chipsets they support, and the drivers will use bit blit acceleration if available, just not the other drawing ops since everything is double buffered. Edited 2010-04-25 00:22 UTC

Additionally, when I plug a monitor into my Dell laptop or Toshiba 205 netbook the VESA drivers support the external monitor as the display unit.
And for those who have not tried Haiku, VESA is very very fast on it.
