Windows Microsoft originally said that new owners of Windows 7 who wanted to downgrade to XP would only have until 2011 to do so, but now the company has changed its mind and extended support for the old operating system until 2020.

Don't get me wrong XP is great but it's time to give it up. Win 7 and most Linux distribution (Ubuntu for me) are way better!

In my experience Ubuntu is better than Windows 7 as well, but it depends on how/what you use it for.

That is actually the same bloat. Windows 7 is bloated, Ubuntu Linux is bloated ... XP was not that bloated afterall. I'd choose XP for embedded OS, not some heavy crap like Win7 or Ubuntu., There are better OSs that these two for such appliances.
