I love that this story (more of a statement, really) is posted without any kind of links, citation of an authority which is capable of speaking on behalf of the UK government, or anything like that.

Is this your opinion? Did Tim from the corner shop tell you this? Did you read it in a respectable newspaper? Was there a statement from a government official? Was there a press release? Has any news service covered this?
