It's not safe to assume money is coming from this project. Syllable is free to download, after all. Still, it's an incentive, and a validation. It's exactly what we have been aiming at for many years, and the project is contributing improvements to the system.

Congratulations on a job well done then. Otherwise what's in store for Syllable Desktop in the (near?) future? I've been following the project for a few years, even did some experiments on real hardware at one time and I guess it would be really exciting to see some more releases.

Development on the base system has been slow lately because I have been shifting focus to the REBOL integration, as REBOL 3 is now getting ready for it. As Twitterfire says, a new OS without application is no good, and we always knew this is Syllable's main problem, having no previous system and community that it's based on. As the community has failed us to start application projects, we're currently dependent on porting third-party software. REBOL has always been our strategy to get a class of third-party applications that are still innovative and efficient, in line with Syllable's underlying goals.
