However one of the most popular doesn't, ubuntu were many people with Audio troubles that were "beta" testers, effectively while being sold something that according to the website is
Ubuntu is a fast, secure and easy-to-use operating system used by millions of people around the world.
One could say people should be using LTS ... however ... There is not even a mention of it on their homepage and is only accessible as a dropdown on the download page.

Quippy links aside, there are in fact distributions targeted at people who want conservative update policies, long term support, and to avoid bleeding edge software. There is no magic pixie dust or perfect distro. You have to understand the relevant trade offs, and make your choice. Abandoning Linux and going with another OS isn't perfect either, just another set of trade offs.
