When will we dispense with the delusional "Macs just work because all of the hardware is theirs" mentality. Apple products never "just worked."
Well, I have no first-hand experience at all with OSX and as such I assumed that since Apple have total control of the hardware in their products it would be very strange if the limited hardware they do support would have less than stellar drivers.
