I don't attend the meetings, I just setup the hardware used in the meetings (video conferencing system, wireless, switches, laptops, ipads, phones, etc).
I'm the tech guy working in the windowless basement all day, with multiple monitors and ssh connections to systems around the province (our school district is very spread out, about 2 hours of driving in each direction from the board office).
:)
Unfortunately, no matter how many board members want to use iPads, they just do not work in a business setting where you need to get files on/off the devices. Even for something as simple as reading a PDF file of the agenda/minutes.
So what do you recommend your people, to use android tablets, HP, windows?
I have used all of those and they do not compare to what I can do with the Ipad. I still have a 7 inch Galaxy Tab because I like the size for quick train travel.
But, and as good as the tab is (the best screen around), it doesn't come close to my (obsolete to some of you) Ipad 1.
Also, why do everyone makes an almost similar looking tablet as the Ipad? To get sued? Look at the design of a third tier manufacturer that makes the 8 inch Nextbook 3. The design is great and different, why can Samsung and HP do the same and differentiate themselves from the Apple products?
Maybe it is so people will buy theirs thinking that they are buying the other, confusing the market? Who knows...but look at the Nextbook 3 and see something different.

Just reading the comments. But I have to tell you that if you truly were going to board meetings, you would not be here posting in this very geeky site. You would have much better things to do.
Me, I am retired now and can do anything I want!!!
