I agreed it will one day be obsolete but not within 5 years. 10 years more likely, kind of winding down process.

Agreed. Tablets are certainly making inroads into laptop sales, just as laptops have done to traditional desktop machines - but they're still fairly rare in my part of the world (NZ). They'll probably be more common in five years time, but they're certainly not going to kill the traditional desktop in that time...
