Oh I understand, they're all replies to a deleted post. and in threaded view, if the thread has no 'root' it isn't shown. Weird. Thanks for clarifying.

I always use flat view, hadn't noticed this.

No I think there is something wrong. For at least a week I've been getting false numbers of "x comment(s)". For example: The "SF Police Launch..." article tells me it has 1 comment even though there are none.

I tested this with Firefox, Conkeror and Chromium. Links does however tell me the right number of comments.
